Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal information across Saadhav (the personalised daily wellness app) and Sangam (the one-time couple reading), together the “Services”. It is drafted in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applicable Indian law. The operator and Grievance Officer are named at the end of this page.
What we collect
| Birth & profile details | Name, gender, and date, time, and place of birth (for Sangam, for each of the two people). Used to compute the birth chart(s) that personalise your content. |
| Account details | For Saadhav: a recovery token and, optionally, a mobile number and age bracket, so you can return to your account. |
| Activity | What content you opened, what you marked as resonant, and what you completed — used to deepen your personalisation. |
| Payment authorisation | The UPI mandate (Saadhav) or one-time payment (Sangam) authorised via PhonePe. We do not store your UPI VPA, card, or bank details — these are handled entirely by PhonePe. |
| Technical & referral | IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and the ad or link you arrived from — for security, fraud prevention, service delivery, and funnel analytics. |
| Support communications | Any messages you send us, so we can respond. |
How we use it
To provide the Services: create and maintain your account (Saadhav) or reading (Sangam), personalise and deliver content, process payments via PhonePe, and provide support. To communicate with you: send transactional messages such as payment receipts, mandate reminders, and service updates. We do not send marketing email without your consent. Our lawful basis is your consent, freely given when you register or submit a reading.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share the minimum necessary with a small set of processors strictly to run the Services:
- PhonePe Payment Services India Pvt. Ltd. — to process your UPI payment or autopay mandate. PhonePe receives the amount, order ID, and technical metadata required, and is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Prokerala — a third-party ephemeris provider used to compute birth charts.
- AI language-model providers — to generate your personalised content.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers — to run the application.
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — hashed identifiers (such as email, phone, IP, and browser cookies) may be shared via the Meta Conversions API to attribute conversions to our ads. Meta acts as our processor for advertising measurement.
- Legal disclosures — where required by law, court order, or a lawful government request.
Data retention
We keep account and reading data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the product, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain certain records. Support emails are retained for up to 3 years. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see “Your rights”).
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email divyanshu@dwij.live from the address (or with the report link) associated with your account. You may also register a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below) and, if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards: data in transit is encrypted with TLS, payment credentials are never stored on our systems (they are handled by PhonePe), and access to production data is limited to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure; in the event of a personal-data breach likely to cause significant harm, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.
Children
The Services are intended only for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
Data location and international transfers
Personal data is primarily processed in India. When we share content-generation data with AI providers, or hashed identifiers with Meta and Google for advertising measurement, that data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions in which those providers operate. All transfers occur under the safeguards required by applicable Indian law.
